FIELD: manufacture of airplanes and wing-in-ground effect craft of high cargo capacity. SUBSTANCE: central compressed air jet is fed to area under dome-shaped housing of lifting device to form air cushion under this dome; jet is blown radially towards lower surface of bottom of dome-shaped housing of lifting device in form of fan-shaped of flat jet. Device for realization of this method consists of dome-shaped housing with bottom and sides directed towards bearing surface and compressed air supply source for forming air cushion. Device is also provided with manifold for forming the central jet provided with circular or flat nozzle assembly for blowing off the central jet towards lower surface of housing bottom located at level of plane passing through lower edges of housing sides.
