FIELD: electric measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: current of more significant bits are produced in converter by cyclic change-over of reference current supply with aid of pulse current switches and filtering of current pulse trains shaped in the process. Digital-to-analog converter has pulse current switches, low-frequency filters, more significant bit current switches, code-controlled resistive current divider, reference current supply, DC-to-AC (ripple) current converter incorporating current follower, isolating capacitor, two current supplies one of which is permanently connected to isolating capacitor plate and other one, periodically connected through current selector controlled by pulse shaper synchronized with orthogonal signal generator; other plate of isolating capacitor is connected together with output of reference current supply to input of current follower whose output, that also functions as DC-to-AC converter output, is connected to inputs of pulse current switches.
