FIELD: application of metal coating onto parts in holder. SUBSTANCE: unit for transferring part from one conveyer to other is made in the form of three successively installed turntables connected kinematically with each other and with common drive. Mounted above the turntables is technological equipment for abrasive jet processing of parts and for application of metal coating onto inner and outer surfaces of these parts by electric arc method. Mechanisms intended for transferring and turning over parts through 180 deg. round the axis perpendicular to the axis of the part rotation are disposed between the turntables. Rotatable holders for gripping and holding parts are available on the first and third turntables in the form of locating cones and on the second turntable in the form of sleeves. Drives for axial turning of parts are of friction type. Mechanism for transferring parts from one conveyer to the other has rotary post installed on bed and bushing adopted to move along the post. Fixed on the busing normally to the post is cross-piece with grip secured on its end. The bushing carries also drives for rotating the post and for lifting and lowering the bushing with the cross-piece. The latter is made up of two parts, one of which being rigidly connected to the bushing, while the other is adopted to turn relative to its longitudinal axis. The gripping unit is located on free end of rotatable portion of the cross-piece. The post rotation drive is made in the form of bracket rigidly mounted on the post and its free end is articulated with double-arm lever. The second end of the bracket is provided with roller and is engaged with endless curvilinear groove of the cylinder seated on its own shaft. The drive intended for lifting and lowering the busing together with cross-piece is made in the form of second double-arm lever. One end of this lever is hinged to the bushing and the second, which carries a roller, is linked with cam also mounted on its own shaft, which, just as the cylinder shaft, is linked to the cam by means of the common drive of the turntables. The drives of the rotary part of the cross-piece and of the grip unit are made respectively in the form of a roller mounted on the rotary part of the cross piece and an eccentric available on the grip unit. The drives include also inserts and rests disposed in corresponding sections of the bed. The axes of the shafts of the cam and the cylinder with curvilinear endless groove are perpendicular to the axis of the post. The method for application of metal coating on the whole surface of a part is as follows. First the exposed surface, which is free from the holder, is prepared for metal application. Then the place of gripping is changed and newly exposed surface is prepared and subjected to metal coating application. After that the place of gripping of the part is changed once more and metal coating is applied to the previously prepared and now exposed portion of the part.
