FIELD: insect repellents. SUBSTANCE: invention describes N-monosubstituted neoalkaneamides with 11-14 carbon atoms where substituent at amide nitrogen is cyclic (aromatic or cycloaliphatic, in part, aryl or cycloalkyl) and involves at least 5 carbon atoms at condition that any aromatic substituent is nonsubstituted at ortho-position and pivaloyl is neoalkanoyl moiety. Total number of carbon atoms in N-cyclic neoalkaneamide is at least 12. The proposed compounds are repellents with respect to cockroaches, mosquitos, flies, ants and mites.
