FIELD: manufacturing of adhesive materials; production of tire, production of industrial rubber articles; paint and varnish industry. SUBSTANCE: promoter for adhesion of rubber and metal cord which comprises cobalt resinates of polymerized colophony together with desired additives is proposed. Said promoter is prepared by interaction of polymerized oleoresin colophony or tallow colophony at 260-320 C in the presence of acetic anhydride. The process is followed by adding of boric acid and paraffin, their quantities being 2-5 % and 1-5 % of colophony mass. EFFECT: improved stability of rubber mixture to wet ageing; improved adhesive properties of desired promoter. 1 tbl
