FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has batten positioned on shaft and provided with reed. Batten drive is kinematically connected with main shaft of weaving machine and geometrically closed with batten to transmit forced reciprocating gapless motion to batten. At least one power accumulator is connected with its one end to batten. Other end of power accumulator is fixed to accumulate kinetic energy of batten and reduce drive moment.
