FIELD: mine support, particular, metal support made if channel sheet; applicable in supporting various underground mine workings. SUBSTANCE: mine support is made in form of separating axis. Each module consists of roof and two side panels secured to each other by cover plates. Panels are made of channeled sheets having trapezoidal channels alternately oriented to opposite sides and having walls and bottoms. In this case, sizes of channel bottom from both sides of panels are the same, neighboring channels have common walls, and angle of inclination of channel walls relative to vertical axis of channel sheet of panels is with-in the range of angle value whose tangent equals ratio of two-three thicknesses of channel walls to height of channeled sheet, up to angle of 10 deg. When panels are lap joined and tightened by cover plates, gap is formed due to different sizes of channels between their bottoms to provide for mutual wedging of panels and forming of yielding units. Cover plates used for interconnection of panels are made in shape and sizes corresponding to those of cross-section of channels of panel channeled sheets. For instance, they may be made from a set of lengths of channeled sheet similar to panels and interconnected by bushings with through holes to pass fastening parts. To provide for yielding of support, bottoms of channels have, in place of panel lap joints, slotted openings whose length is determined by the value of mutual displacement of panels in full sagging of support. To provide for connection of modules with one another, cover plates securing panels to one another are displaced relative to one another through value equalling half of panel width. If required, module is provided with foot panel, and in case of high rock pressure, panels may be reinforced by metal sheets laying on them. EFFECT: provision of support which is yielding, has low specific metal content, high resistance to bending loads and sufficient bearing capacity. 6 cl, 13 dwg
