MUSICAL INSTRUMENT "ESKALIPHON-2" Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: design of musical instruments. SUBSTANCE: musical instrument "Eskaliphon-2" has body with keys which houses frame with electric drive to rotate axle with discs put on it. Each disc has magnetic track over perimeter with recording of sound tone or semitone of some known musical instrument. By pressure on key there appears interaction of key with magnetic head located on balanced rocker. Head is kinematically coupled via devices of sound amplification and transformation to loudspeakers of magnetic tape recorder. Musical instrument carries rotary drum mounted in frame which has two axles with discs installed in parallel and equidistantly from center of drum rotation. Discs have recordings on magnetic tracks of musical row of sounds of two different instruments as minimum. After turn of drum through angle of arrangement of axles relative to each other its position is fixed. Magnetic tracks of discs on one of axles occupies position necessary for interaction with magnetic heads put on rockers and gear wheel put on this axle engages gear wheel of electric drive.
