FIELD: preparation of potassium sulfate from potassium containing waste. SUBSTANCE: claimed method comprises preparing potassium sulfate by leaching potassium from cement production dust at liquid to solid phase ratio of 3-4 at 85-100 C for 40-60 min with mixture of mother liquid and some wash water in 1:0.8 ratio by volume. Suspension is then separated into alkali solution and slurry which is washed with water, and solution is neutralized with oil of vitriol to attain pH of 7-9, evaporated to density of 1.145-1.555 and cooling of lye to 15-25 C produces potassium sulfate crystals.
