FIELD: manufacture of building materials, more particularly decorative acoustic mineral fiber-based slabs. SUBSTANCE: claimed raw material for manufacturing sound-absorbing mineral wool products, starch, boric acid and sound-absorbing mineral wool production waste further comprises sound-absorbing mineral wool product waste, finely ground nigrol, the ratio of components being as follows (wt %): 50.0-72.0 granular mineral fiber; 7.0-8.0 starch; 0.5-1.0 boric acid; 0.5-1.0 nigrol; and 20.0-40.0 finely ground production waste. The resulting products show improved physical and mechanical and sound-absorbing properties, and smaller amount of starch binder is used. The manufacturing process fully uses production waste. EFFECT: improved properties of the raw mix. 1 tbl
