FIELD: medicine, psychiatry. SUBSTANCE: patients were subjected to clinical, paraclinical and anthropometric examinations followed by determination of constitutional morphophenotype. On the bases of somatotype patients were given azaphen at doses 25-75 mg and valproate sodium, 150 mg, twice per a day - two courses for 6 days, break - 3 days followed by (without break) dose increase of azaphen to 75-100 mg depending on morphophenotype of patient. At azaphen break treatment dose of valproate sodium is increased to 400 mg/day (two doses by 200 mg). EFFECT: decreased treatment course, enhanced effectiveness of treatment, decreased dose of drugs. 2 tbl
