FIELD: separation of materials. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal separator comprises working chamber, rotation drive, facility for supplying pulp to the bottom of the chamber, and facility for discharging exhaust pulp from the opposite portion of the chamber. The cross-section of the working chamber along the axis of rotation is oval whose curvature is defined by an angle between the axis of rotation and tangent to the inner side of the working chamber that varies from the bottom of the working chamber to the discharging edge of the working chamber by 45-20° with respect to the axis of rotation. The bottom of the working chamber is filled with mercury. The walls of the working chamber have projections that form a wave-like surface. The working surface in hollows of the wave-like surface and over the large diameter is provided with rings made of flexible material. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl, 3 dwg
