FIELD: oil and gas producing industry; materials handling facilities; self-propelled boom units. SUBSTANCE: boom device mounted on frame of self- propelled unit consists of boom, rectilinear arm and rigid guy forming articulated four-link mechanism. Boom device had lock including hook and hydraulic cylinder hinge-secured on boom and axle of hinge joint connecting arm with guy. With boom set from travelling into operating position by means of hydraulic cylinders, hook is moved by hydraulic cylinder towards axle 8 and encloses axle by its mouth, thus fixing articulated four-link mechanism.
