FIELD: agriculture, more particularly manufacture of liquid nitrogen fertilizers based on carbamide and ammonium nitrate. SUBSTANCE: claimed method comprises mixing initial streams of water and ammonium nitrate solution with stream of other nitrogen containing substance, e.g. carbamide solution. During preparation of fertilizer, ammonia evolves as gas phase which is trapped by washing gas phase with initial stream of water and/or stream of ammonium nitrate solution. In this case, at least 100 kg of water and/or at least 500 kg of ammonium nitrate solution are used per 1 kg of ammonia present in gas phase. After contacting with gas phase, stream of water or ammonium nitrate solution containing free ammonia is recycled for mixing. EFFECT: improved properties of the liquid nitrogen fertilizer.
