FIELD: metallurgy; mainly, cooling the sinter on linear coolers with blown-through layer. SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by blowing-through of material layer loaded on inclined chute at the rate providing for its fluidization under conditions of separation of coarse and fine fractions in layer height inside the chute. Coarse fractions are settled on chute bottom and are the first to be loaded on the cooler plate; fine fractions moving to the upper part of the layer inside the chute are loaded on coarse fractions which are already lying on the plate. Air blowing through material in chute results also in dedusting of loaded material. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
