FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in construction and maintenance of railway lines especially in aggressive environment. Sleeper has body of variable cross-section in length made of reinforced polymerconcrete with dispersed reinforcement. Inserts are built in sleeper body at points of rail fastening. Height of inserts Hin. meets this relation 2/3 Hsl. >/ Hin. > 1/3sl., where Hsl. - height of sleeper body at point of insert location. Upper face of middle part of sleeper body is higher than lower face of inserts by value Δ Hav. 0.5 (Hsl. - Hin. > Δ Hav. > 0.1 (Hsl. - Hin.). Dispersed reinforcement in the form of steel or synthetic fibers or both of them combined in total mass of sleeper body constitutes 5-7% at various length and percent content of either kind of fibers in total mass of polymerconcrete material. Metal and wooden inserts of various geometrical configuration can be used. Sleeper in its middle part can have at least one gap. For example two wooden inserts can be located at points where rails are fastened. EFFECT: high efficiency. 11 cl, 22 dwg
