FIELD: mining technology. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in hydraulic mining of column-like ore bodies through bore-holes. According to method, vertical cut-off slot enclosed over contour of ore body is created from surface. Hydraulic wash-out of mineral, caving of rock are effected by procedure of adjustable level-by-level falling of rock mass limited at sides by cut-off slot under action of own weight. Bore-holes are arranged so that their successive putting in operation and consequently formation of compensation space is effected along spiral. Weight of processed rock mass is compensated by operation waste which is used for gobbing created space above processed rock mass. If column-like ore body has widening, it is divided into blocks, thus forming enclosed vertical slot over contour of each block. EFFECT: high efficiency. 1 cl, 5 dwg
