FIELD: glass making industry; production of glasses for light filters capable of uniformly attenuating IR radiation flux within spectral region 800-1800 nm. SUBSTANCE: proposed glass has following composition, wt. %: silica BF SiO2 58-62, alumina BF Al2O3 1-3, cobalt oxide BF CoO 0.05-1.0, nickel oxide BF NiO 0.1-6.0, boron oxide BF B2O3 12-20, zinc oxide BF ZnO 3-6, sodium oxide BF Na2O 1-3 and/or potassium oxide BF K2O 12-17, added-up sodium + potassium oxides content being 12-17 wt. %. Proposed glass has uniform absorption within wavelength range 800-1800 nm and it is synthesized at temperature 1340-1360 C. EFFECT: good-quality cheap glass for light filters. 2 tbl
