FIELD: determination of hardness of paper rolls. SUBSTANCE: hardness is determined by peak braking of striker while hitting roll. Measured peak braking is corrected depending on energy of impact ( force pulse ). Device has striker carrying former of signal of acceleration depending on impact, two channels connected in parallel and used to form first and second signals depending correspondingly on peak braking and impact energy and microprocessor processing signals and correcting first signal. Microprocessor has common input bus for connection of mentioned channels connected with feedbacks to inputs RESET of peak detector and integrator placed into corresponding forming channels. Threshold elements are placed across inputs of peak detector and integrator. Their operational threshold exceeds signal of acceleration by swinging striker in the form of hammer but is below signal of acceleration caused by impact. Impacts are delivered in aggregate of points located over length of paper roll to determine profile of hardness of it. Measurements are repeated if measured parameters in any point are not suitable for calculation of hardness in units. EFFECT: timely obtainment authentic values of hardness of rolls. 17 cl, 6 dwg
