METHOD OF EXCITATION OF SEISMIC WAVES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: geophysical studies with use of linear charges of fluid explosives. SUBSTANCE: method of excitation of seismic waves includes filling of flexible hose with fluid explosive, its sealing in hose, pulling of charge through pipe-line of blade layer till it comes out of pipe-line end , digging of layer blade into soil with subsequent laying of charge at specified depth under layer of soil as layer moves, bringing one of its ends out to surface of soil and fitting of charge with initiation aid through brought out end. Before filling of flexible hose with fluid explosive one its ends is equipped with hollow tube which length amounts to 1.7-2.4 depth of digging of charge into soil. Its inner diameters exceeds outer diameter of initiation aid at least by 5.0 mm. Hollow tube is pulled through pipe-line of blade layer till its end is brought out beyond limits of pipe-line to length equal to half of specified depth of charge laying in soil. Blade of layer is dug into soil to same depth. End of hollow tube is fixed on surface of soil. As layer moves blade is dug into soil to specified depth and laying is carried out with keeping of specified depth along entire length of charge. Initiation aid is brought into mix of explosive through hollow tube. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and safety of method. 1 tbl
