CRANK-AND-SLIDE MECHANISM (SCALE MARKER-RULE) Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2101190 C1

FIELD: drawing and marking equipment. SUBSTANCE: crank-and-slide mechanism (scale marker-rule) has guide, slides movable along guide, doubled cranks pivotally connected with slides, marking needles, two normal cranks pivotally connected with outer slides adjacent doubled cranks, two handles fixed on guide ends to serve as end thrusts-restrictors, two screw stops mounted on outer or adjacent slides. Length of outer cranks is equal to lengths of doubled crank arms. Each slide carries two marking needles turned in opposite sides through 180 deg. Needles are made wedge-shaped. Bottom face of each wedge serves supporting surface contacting with base and one of side faces is inclined to bottom supporting face to serve working edge. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities, improved convenience and reduced time for carrying out design and marking works. 2 cl, 3 dwg
