FIELD: electrical engineering; protection of half-wave three-phase controlled rectifiers against phase failure operation. SUBSTANCE: device has three-phase half-wave rectifier whose anodes are connected to those of power valves, control element with break contact, DC voltage supply; in addition, it is provided with resistor, first optocoupler thyristor, diode, and output components, such as optocoupler thyristors, as many as there are phases, of phase-shifting device controlling rectifier valves; output components are connected through one lead (photothyristor cathode) to cathodes of rectifier power valves and through other lead (photothyristor anode) to cathodes of three-phase half-wave rectifier, via input of first optocoupler thyristor cumulatively connected to it in series and via resistor; control element shorted out by backward diode is connected through one lead to negative terminal of DC voltage supply and through other lead, to its positive terminal via photothyristor of first optocoupler thyristor.
