FIELD: agriculture, in particular, watering of cattle and other animals. SUBSTANCE: automatic waterer has accumulating reservoir with water level adjusting float-type valve, water supply pipeline, inlet and discharge branch pipes and watering bowl. During operation, water flows from accumulating reservoir through pipeline, inlet and discharge branch pipes into watering bowl to fill it up to top level. When balance is set, water flow through inlet branch pipe is interrupted at head level and water flow is stopped due to the action of water column in watering bowl through air lock in inlet branch pipe cavity. When animal drinks, water level in bowl is decreased and new portions of water are delivered into bowl, with water overflowing through head level. The lower is water level in bowl, the higher is water admission rate. Upon completion of animal drinking, top water level is set again and water inflow is interrupted. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 7 cl, 6 dwg
