FIELD: environment protection. SUBSTANCE: device for cleaning water from petroleum products has body which is divided by partition into vessel and reservoir located above it which are communicated by means of overflow hole made in partition. Also provided are shut-off member, unit for filling body with water polluted with petroleum products which is made in the form of chamber with float valve. Inlet of chamber is connected with source of water polluted with petroleum products, and outlet is connected with vessel. Reservoir is provided with unit for filling it with water and removing petroleum products from it. Vessel has unit for removing purified water from it. Reservoir is preliminarily filled with water, water polluted with petroleum products is proportionally delivered into vessel which after being filled is connected with reservoir by opening of overflow valve. In result, taking place is exchange of petroleum products and water between vessel and reservoir, with collection of petroleum products in reservoir and their subsequent removal.
