FIELD: DC and ac electric drives. SUBSTANCE: thyristor drive has thyristor converter, current sensor, pulse-phase control device, characteristic selector switch, linearizing device for thyristor converter characteristics, proportional-integral speed governor, speed sensor, logic change-over device; in addition, it is provided with newly introduced parallel current-limiting device built up of proportional-integral current regulator, voltage limiter, inverter, current setting element, limit level setting element, disable diodes, and reset switch. Voltage limiter is connected to limit level setting element and reset switch, to PI current regulator; reset switch input is connected to third output of logic change-over device. EFFECT: improved static and dynamic current-limiting characteristics; improved reliability. 2 dwg
