FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: axle box suspension of bogie has spring installed on each bracket of axle box housing, rubber shock absorber and friction vibration damper in form of bushing fitted on tail spindle and engaging with projection on tail spindle flange, retainers with conical end face surfaces adjoining the bushing, two rings engaging through conical surfaces with corresponding end face surfaces of retainers, and pressure spring, engaging through lower end with upper rings of frictional vibration damper. Free end of tail spindle is fitted in hole made in axle box bracket with clearance and is provided with stop member. Frictional vibration damper has lower pressure spring fitted on bushing and engaging through one end face with lower conical ring and by other end face, with support ring. Hole in rubber shock absorber is made cylindrical, of diameter somewhat smaller than that of hole in axle box bracket. Clearances between above axle-box spring and lower conical ring, between above axle-box spring and upper conical ring, between above axle-box spring and retainers, between bushing and walls of hole in axle-box bracket, between bushing and walls of hole in support ring are made with ratio 1:1:1:1:1.
