FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to devices intended for extracting minerals. Impact-action skimmer has frame, body with striking bits, and electromagnetic mechanism with changeover switch. Delivery of energy to skimmer is effected without electrical contact, but due to electromagnetic induction. Skimmer can be provided with trough made of diamagnetic material and conveyor. Installed above side of conveyor is trough which supports cable for power supply to skimmer. Skimmer can have gantry support with energy-receiver attached to it which is made of ferromagnetic core, and several turns of copper wire. Frame and above-conveyor plate can be made with slots which gives more rigidity and at same time allows for longitudinal displacement. Skimmer can be provided with high-frequency generator or energy converter for power supply to skimmer and remote control of striking bits.
