FIELD: object recognition. SUBSTANCE: method involves storing characteristics of objects in master and working databases together with individual numbers which are assigned to them. Data are to be being queried in databases and compared. Data about concrete object are to be being updated. Each object during manufacturing is labeled with individual number. When this object is to be used, information about corresponding individual numbers are queried in databases. When characteristics are equal, object data are updated with respect to its property characteristics. When some data do not match, object characteristics are checked using physical methods. Corresponding device has master database 2, working database 3, database access unit 6, comparator 7 and communication lines 8 and 9.
