FIELD: design of economic small-size power supply sources (welding gears, chargers of storage batteries and so on). SUBSTANCE: magnetization reversal circuit incorporating choke, source of constant voltage and current-setting resistor connected in series is connected in parallel to primary winding of transformer. Control system of converter is fitted with unit controlling magnetization reversal which permits transistors to be switched on only after completion of magnetization reversal process of magnetic core of power transformer. EFFECT: substantial reduction of dimensions of power transformer or decrease of commutation losses if its dimensions are fixed thanks to diminished frequency of switchings over or enhanced reliability of converter thanks to facilitation of operational conditions of power transformer if dimensions of transformer and frequency of switchings over are invariable. 3 dwg
