FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves regulation of current in inductance load by means of regulation of control electrode current which is used for driving thyristors in rectifier so that it reaches zero for identical time during given half-wave period when current in inductance load which receives voltage from rectifier keeps conduction of voltage of control electrode of thyristor when thyristor current is switched on. Signal of intermittent current in thyristor gate is detected and used for generation of permission signal according to direction of control electrode of thyristor. Permission signal in synchronism with linear voltage of power supply provides pair of channel signals which then activate voltage of control electrodes of thyristors so that voltage at control electrodes drops just in this time depending on positive or negative value of control current during half-wave at which driving current of generator is intermittent.
