FIELD: coatings. SUBSTANCE: applying polyfluorohydrocarbon coating includes dispersing fluorohydrocarbon polymer in aqueous solvent and depositing dispersion onto cutting edge of razor blade. According to invention, powder of fluorohydrocarbon polymer with average molecular weight at least about 10 000 000, prior to be dispersed, is exposed to ionizing radiation to reduce average molecular weight to a value ranging from 700 to about 700 000. As aqueous solvent, that containing no chlorofluorohydrocarbon solvents is utilized. When applied, coating is heated intensely enough to provide adhesion of fluorohydrocarbon polymer to the of blade. In heating stage, polymer is melted, partially melted, or calcined. EFFECT: increased adhesion of coating. 18 cl
