FIELD: typewriters. SUBSTANCE: typewriter whose character keys, in addition to main lower and upper cases 92, have additional lower and upper cases 93, uses an alphabet selector switch, additional function <DOP> key and a unit of automatic reset to the main cases. Lowercase and uppercase letters are positioned in additional lower and upper cases 93 respectively, they are typed after a keystroke without holding of the function <DOP> key, selection of character of the lower or upper case is accomplished similarly to the existing typewriters. After typing of any one character the unit of automatic reset to the main cases brings the typewriter to the state of the main cases. As a result, it becomes possible to accomplish typing of texts in languages, in whose alphabet the number of letters exceeds 33, by skilled blind ten-finger method. The alphabet selector switch provides for realization of different standards without changing the types set in the typing unit, in which the quantity of types equals the quantity of typed characters differing from one another. EFFECT: improved design. 13 dwg , 1 tbl
