FIELD: mineral fertilizers. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnesium fertilizers from refractory materials production waste, namely, from magnesite powder obtained in caked periclase powder production. According to invention, caustic magnesite powder is composed of (in wt %): MgO, at least 75; CaO, no higher than 15; K2O+Na2O, no higher than 3; and microelements Cu, Zn, Co, and Mn, no higher than 0.3.
