FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: phosphorous trichloride is affected by hydrolysis which takes place by treatment with water or with 5-35 % hydrochloric acid. The process is carried out at 25-75 C in the medium of 75-95 % phosphoric acid, molar ratio of phosphorous trichloride and water being 1: (3-4) respectively.
