FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: electronic ignition system has supply source 1, starting pulse pickup 2, thyristor switch 4 and transistor switch 5, forming part 3 with monostable multivibrator including transformer 6, input transistor 7 and output transistor 8. Base of input transistor 7 is connected with starting pule pickup 2 and, through diode 10 and resistor 11, with base winding 12 of positive feedback of transformer 6. Collector of transistor 7 is connected through resistor 13 to output of primary winding 14 of transformer 6, and through diode 15 and resistor 16, to base of output transistor 8. Collector of transistor 8 is connected to minus bus of supply source, and emitter, to primary winding 14 of transformer 6. Primary winding 18 of ignition coil 19 is connected to supply source bus through isolation diode 17 and transistor 20. Input circuit of transistor switch 5 is connected through diode 21 and resistor 22 to control winding 23 of transformer 6. Reservoir capacitor 25 is connected in parallel to primary winding 18 of ignition coil 19 through thyristor 24, and supply winding 27 of transformer 6 is connected in parallel with reservoir capacitor through diode 26. Control electrode of thyristor 24 is connected through capacitor 28 and diode 29 to enabling winding 30 of transformer 6. Second end of this winding is connected to cathode of thyristor 24.
