FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing 150 ml of water heated to 37 C into duodenal lumen by means of probe with olive 15 min after making inravenous injection of 0.1% atropine solution. After aorta, superior mesenteric artery and duodenum being visualized as hypoechogenous structure with sharp contour, distance between the aorta and superior mesenteric artery is measured sequentially in frontal and sagittal planes. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy in determining aortomesenteric distance. 4 dwg
