FIELD: heat exchange apparatuses and methods for making such apparatuses used in cryogenic technique for cooling liquid food products. SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger includes sealed reservoir of metallic foil secured to frame and fixed in necessary position by means of outer plates fastened at lateral side by means of solid clamping ring. Said clamping ring has central annular recess providing compression of outer plates. Said clamping ring may be slit one and it has tightening assembly in the form of threaded joint. Number of such joints depends upon shape of heat exchanger. Said heat exchanger includes cooling fluid duct and branch pipes for supplying water and draining it from said duct. Method for making heat exchanger includes steps of assembling parts of heat exchanger to one pack, forming sealed reservoir around framework, sealing edges of said reservoir and placing them between plates for further compressing them due to cooling said clamping ring. In order to enhance fluid-tightness walls of said reservoir are cemented. Reservoir of metallic foil is secured to polymeric framework by heating it through walls of said reservoir. It is possible to make heat exchangers of metals not used beforehand for cooling food products. Surfaces and butts of parts of heat exchangers of such metals are sealed outside due to applying onto their surface protective layer of easily fused solder or corrosion resistant metal. EFFECT: enhanced fluid-tightness of metallic heat exchangers for cooling liquid products due to securing sealed reservoir of metallic foil to framework. 9 cl, 3 dwg
