FIELD: cutting tips of milling cutters. SUBSTANCE: cutting tip includes first pair of elongated cutting edges and second pair of cutting edges arranged crosswise relative to first pair. Each cutting edge of second pair has first portion and second portion that crosses rotation axis of milling cutter when it is mounted in said cutter and it is joined with adjacent cutting edge of said first pair by means of connecting portion inclined relative to base of said cutting tip. Almost the whole length of said second portion of cutting edge of second pair is joined with positive inclination front surface of tip. EFFECT: improved design. 9 cl, 11 dwg
