SUBSTANCE: amino acid fodder additive on the base of fermentation broth comprises predominate portion of its components and if it is necessary portion of biological mass. Quantity of biological mass is preferably up to 10 mass %. Quantity of proteins is mainly up to 10 mass %, sugar content at the end of fermentation is up to 4 g/l, and during processing portion of biological mass is separated. Method for production of fodder additive involves cultivation of microorganisms, their fermentation which is followed by concentration of fermentation broth and by drying. Thus fodder additive having predetermined composition is prepared, content of amino acids being standardized. EFFECT: improved quality of product, improved efficiency of the method. 8 cl
