FIELD: medicine, immunology. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of 2-amino-1,2,3,4-tetrahydrophthalazine-1,4-dione sodium salt dihydrate as an immunomodulating agent. Administration of this agent to patient with weak cellular immunity response, for example, at the presence of malignant neoplasms causes activation of macrophages, interleukins and other acute-phase proteins. Preparation depresses macrophage activity for some hours at inflammatory processes but enhances microbiocide cell system simultaneously. Preparation does not cause allergic reactions and other adverse effects. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of immunomodulating agent. 4 tbl
