FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes treatment of lamp wastes with neutralizing liquid, separation of phosphor with mercury from lamp glass and bases, and separation of mercury from phosphor. Neutralizing liquid is used in the form of 0.05-M solution of alkali which is used for treatment of phosphor with mercury in ratio of S:L = 1:1 to obtain complex compound with its subsequent heat treatment. EFFECT: higher intensity of recovery process due to its reduced duration and decreased consumption of reagents.
