FIELD: drilling machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: body of adapter is made up of internal part with taper thread intended for lock, and of lower part having band thread intended for core barrel. Lower part of body is cut over circumference into six equal parts. Length of cut corresponds to length of thread intended for core barrel. Installed in adapter body is plug having through-hole for passing of drilling fluid. Aforesaid safety adapter can be completely freed from core barrel and raised to surface by string of drilling pipes. In this case, core barrel which is left in well becomes absolutely open. Aforesaid embodiment of universal safety adapter is reliable, simple in design and cheap in manufacture and operation. In addition, it allows for quick disconnection of core barrel if breakdown occurs. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
