FIELD: equipment for making nails from wire. SUBSTANCE: automatic machine includes mechanism for feeding and cutting wire and ring rotary tool both mounted in the same horizontal plate arranged over base-reduction gear. Power head with shaping roller is mounted directly on said base-reduction gear under said ring rotary tool. Kinematic connection of feeding and cutting mechanism of rotary tool with its drive unit is realized through common shaft-pinion arranged in housing of said mechanism. Said power head is joined with drive unit through changeable pinion mounted on the same shaft as floating pinion of base-reduction gear with possibility of stable fixation of intercenter distance determined by number of teeth of said changeable pinion. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, simplified design and tuning, lowered noise and metal consumption of automatic machine. 3 cl, 10 dwg
