FIELD: organic coatings. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of film-forming compositions based on unsaturated oligoesters hardenable under UV or high-energy irradiation and forming glossy protective-decorative coatings on wood, carton, cement, and other materials. Composition contains photoinitiator, oligoethylenemaleateendomethylenetetrahydrophthalate, triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (oligomer solvent), oxyethyleneorganosiloxane block copolymer (additive), and, additionally, high-boiling active monomer solvent. Combination of components in proper proportion ensures formation of radiation-hardenable coatings requiring neither grinding nor polishing. EFFECT: increased temperature resistance of coatings and avoided use of volatile solvents. 2 tbl
