FIELD: power engineering; igniter for use at combustion of gaseous effluents containing harmful substance in industrial enterprises. SUBSTANCE: burner has housing with outlet channel furnished with thermal signalling device, and combustion chamber with contraction installed in housing along its axis before outlet channel. Thermal signalling device is arranged in zone limited by planes passing through inlet and outlet cutoffs of combustion chamber contraction. This zone communicates with atmosphere through channels made in housing. EFFECT: increased service life of burner.
