HAND GRENADE THROWER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: hand grenade thrower of revolver type. SUBSTANCE: proposed hand grenade thrower has barrel extension with butt, self- cocking firing mechanism, drum with axle and winding spring and swing protective cover with handle. Drum is manufactured in the form of rifled barrels with breeches rigidly joined by means of two casings. Front casing is linked to winding spring. Rear casing is made in the form of multiteeth ring interacting with stopper of drum and stopper lever kinematically coupled to trigger of grenade thrower. Drum has hollow axle. Space of axle houses spring-loaded rod which front end fixes cover with handle in working position and interacts with it when cover turns relative to barrel extension. Rear end of rod is fitted with profile hook interacting with movement of rod with safety lock of cock. Axle of drum carries locking ring made fast to rod and locking grenade catches in working position except grenade catch in shooting barrel. For this upper part of ring has groove. EFFECT: enhanced safety of handling of grenade thrower, prevention of accidental firing during loading and unloading of grenade thrower. 2 dwg
