FIELD: crude oil treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dehydration and desalting of iron- and sulfur- containing crude oils at crude oil-treatment areas prior to be transported to long distances, or at refineries. To treat the two crude oils together, a chelating composition is first mixed with iron-containing oil in amounts 50-80 g per 1 t of oil, after which chelating composition is mixed with sulfur- containing oil, special demulsifier is added, and oil is subjected to settling. EFFECT: reduced consumption of chelating agent and increased quality of commercial crude oil. 3 cl, 2 tbl, 2 ex
