FIELD: forestry, in particular, working out of felling areas by continuous and sequential forest cutting. SUBSTANCE: method involves felling trees by means of felling-packing machine movable in shuttle motion perpendicular to sarments; positioning trees into packs; lopping branches and tops by means of lopping and bucking machine; logging boles in succession from both adjacent belts by directing alternatively their tops and bases in forward direction into single stack. Lopping and bucking machine provides doubling of bole packs with following logging by means of logging machine. Lopping and bucking machine logs small diameter trunks to form packs of gaged timber with following logging of packs by cart. Method allows timber carriers to be loaded in the best way, and initial wood stocks to be completely used due to separation of small diameter trunks from main bulk. EFFECT: increased efficiency of method and increased capacity of logging machines by doubling timber packs. 1 dwg
