FIELD: percussive machines for drilling rocks from mountings or by hands in construction and mining industries. SUBSTANCE: air perforator has percussive unit which consists of cylinder with striker, valve air-distributing mechanism, mechanism of independent rotation of rod and valve unit. Valve air-distributing device has minimum cross-section area under valve equalling to 1/19.5-21.5 cylinder cross-section area. Such a ratio ensures high economic efficiency of percussive unit operation and reduced exhaust noise. EFFECT: higher economic efficiency of machine and reduced noise of exhaust. 1 dwg
