AGRICULTURAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: transportation of agricultural products and workers or passengers. SUBSTANCE: transportation system has supports provided with flexible members and vehicle overpass. Vehicle has members with aerodynamic surface and drive wheels. Flexible member lifting power exceeds vehicle overpass weight, but is below total weight of overpass and vehicle disposed on it. Each support has longitudinal guide for receiving spring-loaded slide. Slide is connected with overpass by means of transverse and diagonal connecting members. Conductors are mounted on overpass surface. Vehicle has helicopter rotors. Aerodynamic surfaces of vehicle are embraced by safety rims. Such construction prevents land areas from being occupied with transportation system and allows these lands to be used for agricultural purposes. EFFECT: reduced construction costs, wider operational capabilities, increased safety and reduced vertical loadings acting upon overpass. 7 cl, 9 dwg
